Full Skirt Tutorial by Kapalaka Full Skirt Tutorial by Kapalaka
Architecture major here, but I love to sew! A few of my friends were struggling in finding a good pattern, so I made this to help out. I think it's pretty easy, and I hope you all find this easy to follow. Let me know if you have questions or think I should add something in!

If you would like to see the Gwendolyn black skirt I made using this method, check out my results here!

When I'am making a full circle skirt, I fold the fabric in half, and cut it. But when I unfold it, the full circle skirt was cut in a half, and the other half of the full circle skirt was gone. And now, I have the only half part of the full circle skirt. Can you please tell me what I did wrong? Or I should not fold the fabric in half?  Please Reply ASAP. :)

ummmm....please answer the following so I can better help. :)

1. How was the other half gone?
2. How long is your full skirt?

floor length skirts require about 5 yards of fabric and this tutorial assumes that the fabric is unfolded and the floor length skirt is halved. There would have to be two side-seems.

The long of my full circle skirt is floor-length (like a ballgown skirt). I don't get it at the Question no. 1 and that you said that "the floor-length skirt is halved" Do you mean when you cut a full circle skirt I'am going to cut 2 half-full circle skirt and you can stitched it together so there would have to be 2 side seams? :)

"cut 2 half-full circle skirt and you can stitched it together so there would have to be 2 side seams"

That is correct. :D <3
